Laura works for NewsNation as a reporter broadcasting legal, scandal, and true crime. Previously, she served FOX News Channel (FNC) as an investigative journalist from 2005 to June 2023. During her time there, she co-anchored the network radio’s broadcast of the swearing-in of President Donald Trump from Washington, D.C. in 2017.
Before working on national TV, she worked as an investigative radio reporter where she broadcasted high-profile stories for KFBK in Sacramento, California. She then moved to Los Angeles where she served KFI-AM 640. Recently, she did investigative stories on the Long Island Serial Killer case where she hosted a 5-part documentary and 7-part podcast: “Grime Tide: Hunting the Lord Island Serial Killer.” In this capacity, she explored Long Island’s Gilgo and Oak Beaches where a number of the victims were found. Also, she interviewed pivotal players in the case and attained exclusive access to the Suffolk County Crime Lab to display the forensic technology used to help trace the suspect.
Ingle served among the first journalists to broadcast from the Monroe County Correctional Facility in Pennsylvania following the arrest of suspect Bryan Kohberger for the killings of four college students in Moscow, Idaho. For several days, she reported from the jail and participated in long-form breaking news broadcasts.
Ingle extensively broadcasted the loss of Gabby Petito and reported in Wyoming when Petito’s body was found. She covered the identification of Petito’s body and spoke with Petito’s four parents in an exclusive sit-down interview on New York’s Long Island.
Ingle has specialized in broadcasting criminal court cases like the Scott Peterson case for which she won the Edward R. Murrow Award. She hosted a 20th-anniversary special on the case, “Reporter’s Notebook: The Scott Peterson Case.” Moreover, she broadcasted the Michael Jackson child molestation lawsuit, the David Westerfield lawsuit in San Diego, California, the San Francisco dog mauling lawsuit, and the Connecticut Home Invasion double killing lawsuit.
Ingle secured an exclusive one-on-one interview with Jennifer Dulos’ estranged husband, Fotis Dulos when she went missing. The interview was incorporated into the documentary “Murder in Connecticut: The Jennifer Dulos Story.”
