Thinane joined the SABC team in July 2009 where she serves as an anchor. Despite serving live from the studio as an anchor for Morning Lives Sports, she also has produced and hosted for the past years on outside broadcasts and on the weekends. Previously she was tenured at Kaya FM 95.9, Supersport Update/Blitz, and Jacaranda FM. Thinane began her career after completing her studies at Pretoria Tech, as a junior prior to her promotion to desk editor.
Later she tenured Live as a producer and Switched on Kaya FM’s breakfast show by Ed Jordan and Pat Cash. She was tenured for a year as a fill-in sports anchor prior to her being offered to be a co-host on the network’s sports show Grand Stand. There she was to co-anchor alongside sports journalists Jeff Moloi and Kwena Moabelo. During her tenure at the network, she has featured several memorable events including her interview with Ace Ntsoelengoe on his play days and his love for football.
