Lindsay Mendez is an American actress and singer who is well known for her work in American musical theatre. She is also best known for starring in the CBS legal drama series All Rise which is set to premiere for its 3rd season on June 7, 2022, on OWN TV.

For her performance as Carrie Pipperidge in a Broadway revival of Carousel, she won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical in 2018. She has also received recognition on Broadway including Elphaba in Wicked, Godspell, and Jan in Grease. In the preview of A Little More Alive, she played the role of Lizzie. She has also taken roles such as; Princesses, Well and Living in Paris, The Marvelous Wonderettes, 35MM, and Jacques Brel is Alive

In addition, she appeared in Dogfight as Eddie and Rose in 2012, and in Wicked as Elphaba and Fiyero. Together with pianist Marco Paguia, she sings blues and jazz at other dining clubs and cabarets, and together, they released a jazz album in 2013, entitled This Time. Furthermore, together with composer Ryan Scott Oliver, they founded and run Actor Therapy which is a five-week training experience for young actors in New York.

In 2013, Mendez was nominated for the Drama League Award for distinguished performance for her role in Off-Broadway’s Dogfight as Rose Fenny. Lindsay also filmed a series of video blogs for Broadway.com while she performed in Wicked called Fly Girl: Backstage at Wicked with Lindsay Mendez. Furthermore, in the 2018 Broadway revival of Carousel, she played the role of Carrie. For her role as Carrie, she won the Tony Award in the category of Best Featured Actress in a Musical.

All Rise is an American legal drama television series that first premiered on CBS on September 23, 2019. The series revolves around the personal lives of judges,  public defenders, and prosecutors, who are in a Los Angeles courthouse. However, after running for two seasons, the series was canceled in May 2021 and later picked up by the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) in September. Thus the third season of the series will premier on OWN and will debut on June 7, 2022.

It follows Judge Lola Carmichael (Simone Missick), who is a newly appointed judge. 21 Chump Street is an American 14-minute musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda. This musical is based on a true story as reported in the series This American Life. 21 Chump Street follows Justin who is a high school honors student who ends up falling for a transfer girl, Naomi. With hopes of winning Naomi’s affection,  Justin goes to great lengths to fulfill her request to find marijuana.
