Lindsey Matherly Biography
Lindsey Matherly is an American meteorologist working for KOLO as a meteorologist on Good Morning Reno. She joined the station in 2013 and has served the station for over a decade.
Lindsey Matherly Education
Matherly joined the University of Oregon after she finished her high school education. In 2003, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She furthered her education at Mississippi State University where she received her Broadcast Meteorology certification in 2015.

Matherly works for KOLO as a meteorologist on Good Morning Reno. Since moving to Reno, she has met some amazing people including her husband. Further, she has learned how active and fun the community is including the numerous fun things and occasions to attend during the summer.
The Dalles native relocated to Eugene for college after she finished her high school education. She always knew that she wanted to be involved with TV news but she found her passion for weather during her first TV job.
After graduating college, Matherly secured a job in Medford where she worked as a production assistant at KTVL. There, she helped mostly off-screen with duties like floor directing or running tapes. Following a few months, she was promoted to a reporting position.
As a reporter, Matherly’s first story was covering a pretty big fire that ruined a ski lodge near Mt. Ashland. She was later promoted to weekend weather and ultimately to the morning meteorologist position. She held that position for 6 years before relocating to Reno in 2013.

On January 31, 2021, she posted a sonogram of her child and captioned it “Brian and I very excited to announce to everyone that we have hit our 28 week mark…We cannot wait to meet our little baby girl in April…”
