Lindsey Monroe is an American meteorologist working for WTHR as a meteorologist since joining the station in January 2018. Previously, she worked for FOX13 in Memphis, Tennessee as a morning and midday meteorologist for 2 years.

Monroe joined Ball State University in 2007 when she finished her high school education. In 2011, she graduated with a Bachelor Of Science degree in Meteorology and Climatology as well as a Telecommunications minor.

Monroe works for WTHR as a meteorologist and a member of the Live Doppler 13 Weather Team. Previously, she worked for FOX13 in Memphis, Tennessee as a morning and midday meteorologist for 2 years. She worked in Terre Haute, Indiana at WTHI as a chief meteorologist on the morning show for 4 years before she moved to Memphis.
In 2014, Monroe won her first Emmy nomination for weather. She also won the Indiana Broadcasters Association’s Spectrum Best Weathercast Award. The Associated Press recognized her with an “Outstanding Weather Operation” Award.
While growing up, Monroe developed an interest in weather. Early on, she learned how to interpret weather instruments and apply the atmospheric conditions to how the car would run. She finds it fascinating that the weather affects everything around us.
Away from forecasting weather, Monroe loves partaking in volunteer and community service endeavors. She has supported the Lupus Foundation of America since 2004 when she was diagnosed with the illness. She has also worked with the Children’s Miracle Network, raising funds for 170 children’s hospitals across North America.
