Sean Ash Biography
Sean Ash is an American meteorologist working for WTHR as a forecaster on Sunday at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. and from Monday to Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. since September 2013. He joined the station in September 2012 as a freelance meteorologist and has served the station for more than a decade. Previously, he worked for WXYZ in Detroit, Michigan as a weekend meteorologist for 3 years.

Ash’s career spotlight was recording eleven tornadoes in only ninety minutes while storm chasing with Ball State University for his report “Chasing Danger” on May 24, 2004, which won him an Emmy nomination. After graduating college, he secured his first forecasting job in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In April 2000, he received the National Weather Association.
