Earlier, Thomas spent two years as a multi-media journalist at FOX23 News. While at FOX23, she was in charge of various roles such as gathering daily news, editing, and conducting live interviews. Mallory began her journalism journey in August 2014 as a general assignment reporter at KRBC-TV in Abilene, Texas. During her tenure there, she reported various news starting from military to courts to elections to crimes. She also updated and managed a social media platform working there from August 2014 to November 2015.
Aside from working as a journalist, Mallory worked for the congressional campaign as a grassroots coordinator. She served the company for nearly two years from November 2015 to June 2017. After that, she worked as a district manager at the State of Texas from February 2017 to June 2017. Her duties included representing the Senator in the district events and meeting city and county elected officials within the district.
