After she had graduated, she wanted to become a nurse just like her mother, however, she attended Kearney State College which is currently known as the University of Nebraska at Kearney Kearney, Nebraska. After she had completed college, she was able to secure her first role in March 1982, on the long-running ABC Daytime soap opera where she played the roleamateur cop Siobhan Ryan Novak DuBujak. In addition, she guest-starred on the ABC series Spenser: For Hire, ABC’s thirtysomething, and NBC’s Matlock. Furthermore, she also played a role on the television films In Sickness and in Health and Not on the Frontline.

Marg Helgenberger All Rise

All Rise is an American legal drama television series that first premiered on CBS on September 23, 2019. The series revolves around the personal lives of judges,  public defenders, and prosecutors, who are in a Los Angeles courthouse. However, after running for two seasons, the series was canceled in May 2021 and later picked up by the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) in September. Thus the third season of the series will premier on OWN and will debut on June 7, 2022.

It follows Judge Lola Carmichael (Simone Missick), who is a newly appointed judge. Judge Lola Carmichael is an idealistic former prosecutor and a newly appointed Los Angeles County Superior Court judge who pushes the boundaries and challenges the expectations of what a judge can be. In addition, she is married to Robin Taylor (Todd Williams) who is an FBI Agent and during the second season, they had their first child.

In the series, Marg plays the role of  Judge Lisa Benner who was a a supervisory judge in the HOJ who is a mentor to Lola Carmichael. CSI officers who are the second busiest crime lab in America, unravel pazzles and apprehend criminals while they capitalize on the best scientific and technical methods.

In the series, Marg played the role of Catherine Willows who is a single mother and a the graveyard shift CSI assistant supervisor.  Catherine joined theCSI team as a lab technician and with hard work, she later became an assistant supervisor and then succeeded Gil Grissom. In addition, after working as the graveyard shift CSI supervisor, she gets involved in a departmental scandal thus she is demoted and later she leaves Las Vegas to join the FBI as a special agent.

Ryan’s Hope is an American soap opera that was created by Paul Avila Mayer and Claire Labine. The soap opera aired on ABC from July 7, 1975 to January 13, 1989. It revoles around the trials and distress that a large Irish-American family living in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City go through.

In Ryan’s Hope, Marg played the role of Siobhan Ryan a role that rose her to fame. It was while she worked on Ryan’s Hope that she met Alan Rosenberg who is her husband who came as a guest actor in 1984.
