Mark Hanrahan is an American Anchor/Reporter working with KREM 2 News where he serves the station as an evening anchor/reporter. He joined the KREM 2 News team in the month of August 2015.

Hanrahan works with KREM 3 News where he serves the station as an Evening Anchor/Reporter. He was raised in Newport, Oregon, and has been reporting in several towns such as Colorado, Washington, Oregon, and Montana. Prior to KREM 2 News, he was working with the sister station located in Portland, KGW.
While in Portland, he was recognized by his colleagues with the Tom McCall Award for excellence in journalism. Additionally, he also worked on a variety of local and national stories which include the manhunt for two suspects involved in a four-state killing spree and the efforts to change Oregon’s antiquated invasion of privacy law in order to address the use of hidden cameras. The year 2012 saw Mark reporting for NBC Nightly News on debris, torn loose from the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan, washing up on Oregon’s beaches.
Prior to joining KGW, he was working as a general assignment reporter for the crosstown competitor, KPTV. Asides from this he also reported for KOAA located in Colorado Springs and for KRTV in Great Falls. While he was in Colorado and Montana, he reported extensively on the military, while traveling with the U.S. Airforce as they responded to Hurricane Katrina. Away from work, he enjoys sneaking in a quick ride on his motorcycle, the outdoors, and spending time with his family.
