Mark Reynolds is an American meteorologist working for WJHL as the chief meteorologist. His weather forecasts air on News Channel 11, Monday through Friday at 4, 5, 5:30, 6 and 11 p.m. He joined the station in 1984 and has served the station for more than 4 decades. Previously, he worked for WTXL 27 News as a weather forecaster at 6 and 11 p.m. Monday through Friday for 2 years.

Reynolds did weekend weather for WCJB in Gainesville, Florida before relocating to Jacksonville During his career, he has won many awards including the 2007 Tennessee Associated Press Best TV Weather Anchor Award and the 2000 Tennessee Associated Press Best Weathercast Award.
American Meteorological Society
Reynolds has been actively involved with the American Meteorological Society. There, he worked as the board chairman for the Board on Outreach and Pre-College Education from 2003 to 2004. From 2001 to 2003, he was a board member of AMS’ Board on Outreach and Pre-College Education. In 2005, he was an advisor to AMS’ Board on Outreach and Pre-College Education

Reynolds served as a committee member of AMS’ Industry Minority Scholarship from 2003 to 2005. During that time, he also worked as a member of AMS’ Battan Award Committee and AMS’ Charles Anderson Award Committee.
Community Work
Active in the community, Reynolds has worked with the Washington County/Johnson City Animal Shelter. Every week, he does the Tails and Paws segment which spotlights animals up for adoption. Tails and Paws airs on Fridays at 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday mornings on News Channel 11. He has been vital in creating the Tails and Paws holiday drive, now named the Tails and Paws Holiday Festival in December in Johnson City.
Reynolds worked on the advisory committee of the American Red Cross of Washington County, Tennessee. There, he was crucial in beginning the first and second Red Cross Health Fair in the Tri-Cities. For over a decade, he has extensively worked with the March of Dimes. He has given thousands of school presentations over the last 3 decades all over the community.
