Marquise Meda Biography
Marquise Meda is an American meteorologist working for WESH as a meteorologist since joining the station in June 2023. Previously, he worked as a meteorologist at Local Now in Atlanta, Georgia for nearly 3 years.
Marquise Meda Education
Meda joined the University of Massachusett in 2012 when he finished his studies. In 2018, he graduated with a Master’s degree in Atmospheric Science and a Mathematics minor.

Meda works for WESH as a meteorologist. He looks forward to getting to know the people of Orlando, whether visiting schools, fundraisers, or broadcasting breaking news. His love for science and meteorology when he was younger. It was in the summer of 2005 when he became passionate about atmospheric science during middle school which coincided with the intense Atlantic Hurricane Season. This season was marked by the devastating Hurricane Katrina which displaced millions from their homes, eventually causing 170 billion dollars worth of ruin. He witnessed how a sequence of disastrous events can alter the lives of billions globally, instantly knowing his career path.
His love for meteorology followed him into the military, where he worked as a combat weather forecaster in the United States Air Force. This experience gave him a chance to immerse himself in different cultures globally. He saw every tour or deployment as a lesson for learning including expanding horizons in Romania, producing Terminal Aerodrome Forecasts (TAFs) for the president on Air Force One, and forecasting dust storms in the Middle East.
Meda’s onscreen career has brought him to quite different places. He began his career interning at CBS-2/WNLY in Manhattan, New York. He then moved to 9 On Your Side WNCT in Greenville North Carolina where he was a meteorologist and reporter. There, he broadcasted Hurricanes Florence, Dorian, and Humberto. The experience also helped him see how his work kept people in the community safe during disastrous times.
Before moving to Orlando, Meda worked in Atlanta, Georgia at the Weather Channel and Local Now. There, he has the chance to forecast weather at a national level, broadcasting weather headlines and viral videos during the year. He enjoyed his time in Atlanta and immersing himself in the community.
