Bell serves as a correspondent at CNN based in Paris. Since joining CNN, she has managed to enclose several stories including the Mali hotel siege, the Charlie Hebdo, and Bataclan concert hall terrorist attacks, and the Bastille Day attack in Nice. Prior to joining CNN, she previously worked at France 24 where she served as a political editor and correspondent.

Prior to working at France 24, she worked at BCC News where she served as a political reporter from January 2002 to January 2008. Before that, she worked at Granada TV where she served as a political reporter for about 2 years and 1 month. Prior to that, she previously worked at Knight Ridder where she served as a reporter for about 1 year and 10 months. Bell went to the University of Warwick where she attained her B.A. in Sciences politics in 1993. She is also very fluent when it comes to speaking both  English and French.
