Sara Sidner is an American award-winning anchor, reporter, and correspondent for CNN and CNN International based at CNN’s Los Angeles bureau. She started working for the Los Angeles Bureau in 2014.

Sidner is among the network’s multiple award-winning senior international and national correspondents. She started her journalism career at WUFT-TV in Gainesville, Florida where she served as an on-air reporter. She left the station and moved on to work at KFVS-TV in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, KDFW-TV in Dallas, Texas, and WINK-TV in Fort Myers, Florida.

During her tenure at KDFW, she served as a consumer anchor as well as a reporter and esteemed herself by making reports on the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster. She, later on, joined KTVU in January 2004 in Oakland, California, where she served as the weekend co-anchor of The Ten O’Clock News and Channel 2 News. In addition to her roles at the station, she also served as the station’s weekday reporter.

“I have never been sick a day of my life. I don’t smoke. I rarely drink. Breast cancer does not run in my family. And, yet, here I am, with stage 3 breast cancer. It is hard to say out loud,” she said.
