Michael Rinker Biography

Michael Rinker is an American Anchor and Multimedia Journalist working for WDHN. He has been working for the station since June 2020 as the Sports Director.

Michael Rinker Career

Rinker serves as the co-anchor of the WDHN’s morning show, Wake Up Wiregrass, and midday show, WDHN Daytime with Katrice Nolan. His shows air on weekdays 5 a.m. – 7 a.m. and the Daytime begins at 11 a.m. He had also worked for other stations prior to joining WDHN(Nexstar Media Group).

For instance, he previously worked for WVU Athletics where he served as a cameraman as well as a video board operator from May 2018 to March 2020. Prior to that, he previously worked for Celebrate Fairfax, Inc where he served as a band interviewer from June 2018 to June 2019.

Rinker went to Massaponax High School from 2012 to 2016. He, later on, joined West Virginia University in 2016 where he attained his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism in 2020 and minored in Sports communication. Whenever he is not working, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends. He also enjoys hiking, playing sports, and hanging out in the community.
