Michele Powers is an American meteorologist working for News 12 New Jersey as a weekend evening meteorologist and a weekday fill-in for News 12 NJ and News 12 CT since December 2005. He joined the station in February 2002 and has served the station for more than 2 decades.

Powers attended Villanova University after completing her high school education. When she finished her studies, she became a graduate and attained a Bachelor Of Science degree in Meteorology, Astronomy, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. During her time there, she was in the Villanova Astronomical Society and served as the captain of Villanova Twirlers.

Before News 12, she served WSI Corporation in Andover as a weather programming specialist. In this capacity, she prepared weather forecasts and graphics for many national and international TV station clients to use on-air.
When she was younger, she had an intense interest in meteorology and astronomy. Further, she credits her love of science and career to her mother. She holds NWA’s Broadcast Seal of Approval. Powers loves summer, late sunsets, and rescue rabbits.
