Mike Brooks is an American anchor/reporter who is best known for his time at KJRH in Tulsa where he served as an evening anchor. He joined the station in August 2019, and later in January 2022, he left the station. Brooks works at Monkey Wrench Mike where he is a YouTube content creator.

He’s a veteran television news anchor with more experience than he can recall. He’s worked in Atlanta, Orlando, Oklahoma City, Lexington, Kentucky, Fort Myers, Florida, Harlingen, Texas, and Topeka, Kansas (KS). He has successfully established multiple news programs and worked every schedule imaginably. Brooks can provide references for every news director with whom he has worked.

He also has a “Tell Me Something Good” series of reports that allows him to recognize those who are making a meaningful impact in their communities. Prior to joining KOKH, he worked at WGCL in Atlanta as a morning anchor, host, and reporter. That was his favorite city.

That’s where he started a “Cool Schools” franchise, which allowed him to cover 45 public and private high schools and report on over 240 stories. It was a difficult labor, but he relished the opportunity to wake up thousands of children and invite them to join him in the school gym at 4:00 a.m. each and every Friday.

He was the nighttime anchor at KGBT in Sough Texas and the morning anchor at WOFL in Orlando before moving to Atlanta. That’s where he established “Good Day Orlando” and met some of the industry’s most interesting personalities. Prior to coming to Orlando, he worked a split schedule at WLEX in Lexington, Kentucky, anchoring the morning and evening newscasts.
