Mike Cherry is an American Emmy Award-winning Anchor/Reporter working for KCRA 3 and My58 serving as the morning news anchor. He has been working at the network since joining in June 2022. He previously worked at WMUR-TV where he served as a morning anchor and reporter from October 2017 to May 2022. 

Mike Cherry Career

Cherry serves as the morning news anchor at KCRA3. He previously worked at WMUR in New Hampshire where he served as the anchor for the hour-long 5 pm newscast. During his tenure at WMUR, he assisted in a documentary on the Bear Brook Murders which won an award.

Before working at WMUR, he worked at KITV4 More Local News where he served as the evening news anchor and reporter for about 2 years and 9 months. Prior to that, he worked at Hawaii News Now where he served as a sports anchor for about 8 years. Prior to that, he had worked at KGMB9 where he served as a video editor and cameraman, and intern.

Cherry went to the University of Hawaii at Manoa where he attained his Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. Due to his career, he has managed to travel all across the world including his trip to Indonesia to report on the aftermath of a devastating tsunami. He also went to New York to enclose the Heisman Ceremony and to Chicago to enclose the NFL Draft.
