Mike Harvey is an American meteorologist working for WTAE serving as the Chief Meteorologist. He anchors 5:00, 5:30, 6:00, 7:00, and 11:00 PM Newscasts.

Harvey attended Metropolitan State College where he majored in aerospace science. Additionally, he also holds a broadcast meteorology certification and has received meteorological training from Mississippi State University.

Harvey provides weekday early and late evening weather forecasts for Pittsburgh’s Action News 4. He has been working as a meteorologist for about 25 years and has worked for WTAE for about 10 years. He had also worked for other stations prior to joining WTAE. For instance, he previously worked for many stations all over the state. Due to his career, he has managed to enclose the persistent drizzle of the Pacific Northwest, the deserts, as well as the humidity, hurricanes of the Southeast, and monsoons of the Desert Southwest.
Harvey holds the Seal of Approval and is also a member of the American Meteorological Society. He also managed to receive the highest certification given by the American Meteorological Society known as the CBM. He has also been recognized with several awards due to his skills in his work as a TV meteorologist. Additionally, he is also the chairman of WTAE’s Project Bundle-Up and assisted in the establishment of the Mars Exploration Celebration, and is chairman of the event.
