Mike Olmstead is an American sports editor and anchor working for KODE News where he serves as the weeknight at 6 pm and 10 pm sports anchor. He re-joined the KODE and KSN family in February 2021

In October 2021, he started working at KODE as an anchor. Mike has served as a broadcast journalist for 25 years and during this time, he has also worked in the Joplin-Pittsburg market and in Fayetteville, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tulsa, and Louisville. He is an award-winning journalist and while he worked in Fayetteville, he was honored by the Arkansas Associated Press.

In addition, the Missouri Broadcasters Association named him 2015, the Best News Anchor. Furthermore, Mike is passionate about telling stories which began while he was at KSN while he served as the sports director and it has continued throughout his career. Not long ago, he worked at Missouri Southern State University where he served as the Director of News Services & Messaging.
