Monique Samuels is an American entrepreneur, philanthropist, and television personality who is a cast member of the 1st season of Love & Marriage: DC which premiered on May 14, 2022, on OWN. Previously, she was a cast member of the Real Housewives of Potomac for four seasons. 

Monique is not fearful about speaking her own mind and she stands firm in what she believes in. While she navigates through her life as an entrepreneur, wife, mom, and philanthropist, she proves that women can have it all. Pleasantville, New Jersey is her native home and she was brought up as a tomboy. Her father saw a sense of independence and strength in her and during her teenage years, her father allowed her to drive a car.

In her high school graduating class, she was the salutatorian and after graduating, she relocated to Pittsburgh where she attended Duquesne University while on a full academic scholarship. Later on, she made a decision to chase her real passion which was a career in music. In addition, she relocated to Washington, DC where she met Chris Samuels who is a six-time Pro Bowl left tackle who played for the Washington Redskins.

Furthermore, she is a boss as she manages businesses, such as; a business enterprise, a real estate investment company, and the  Chris Samuels Foundation which is co-owned by her husband and her. Additionally, her love for entrepreneurship led her to create and launch her brand known as Not for Lazy Moms, and the associated website notforlazymoms.com. She did launch her Not for Lazy Moms podcast in 2018. The podcast is focused on addressing topics that are familiar to everyone but are hardly ever discussed.

The Real Housewives Of Potomac is an American reality television series that aired on Bravo TV and it run for six seasons. The show focuses on the personal and professional lives of several women living in and around Potomac, Maryland. Monique joined the Real Housewives Of Potomac on April 2, 2017, during the second season after Katie Rost was fired. While she was on the show, her other cast members were Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Robyn Dixon, Karen Huger, Candiace Dillard Bassett, and Wendy Osefo.

However, that was not all, Chris also fired his gun at Jamal with a cease and desist letter of his own. Chris claimed that Bryant was spreading lies about him on social media by stating that Chris is abusive to Monique because he has Chronic traumatic encephalopathy and cheated on her. In addition, Chris went ahead to tell Jamal to pull down all his social media posts entailing him and issue a public apology within three days.

Following a heated season on The Real Housewives Of Potomac where Monique was accused of being in a relationship with her trainer and attracts to her husband and children, she called it a Quit. On December 27, 2020, she went on Instagram live where she made the not-so-shocking announcement that she would not return for the 6th season of the show.

In addition, during a podcast episode on the Not For Lazy Moms podcast, she had a sit down with blog site HollywoodLife where she confirmed that she would never return to the Real Housewives Of Potomac.

In 2016, Monique and her husband purchased a house at $4.75 million that covers  7,000-square-foot sitting on nearly 2 acres. The house is located just outside Washington, DC and it has a beautiful, spacious yard that has a barbecue area replete with a built-in grill. The house also has a huge pull with a waterfall and a hot tub. In addition, it contains a six-bedroom and eight-bathroom space. Together with her family, they relocated to the house in 2017, after having done a few renovations.

Monique Samuels Charges

Monique and Candiace were in constant disagreement. The two co-stars faced assault charges sourced from an incident that occurred on October 16, whereby Monique allegedly grabbed Dillard by the hair and pulled her down. Candiace filed a complaint with the District Court of Montgomery County in Maryland charging  Monique with second-degree assault. Monique also charged Dillard with second-degree assault.
