Nick Canizales is an American Anchor/Reporter/Director known for working for KBMT 12 News in Temple, Texas where he served the station as a Daybreak News Anchor. There he anchored the 5, 6, and 10 PM Newscasts and rejoined the station in the month of November 2012 leaving the station in October 2022. He now works for Munro’s Safety Apparel serving the team as an E-Commerce/Sales/Marketing since October 2022.

Canizales worked with KBMT 12 News where he served the station as a Daybreak Sports Anchor in Beaumont, Texas where he specialized in News and features. Previously, he was working with the station’s sister station, KCEN-TV in Waco. There, he had been working as a Sports Director since the year 2012.
She is a Port-Neches-High School alumnus and a proud graduate of Lamar University and is happy to be back home in Southeast Texas. He has covered the Houston Texans, Dallas Cowboys, Rockets, NCAA basketball & baseball tournaments, MLB spring training, the Astros, the Super Bowl, and numerous high school state championships. Asides from this, he has also covered Hurricane Ike in Southeast Texas in the year 2008.
He has also announced play-by-play football, baseball, and basketball. Asides from this, he kick-started his career right here at 12News where he was running studio cameras before he worked his way up to an on-air job covering sports in Southeast Texas.
Over the years, he has won numerous awards for his coverage of local sports and the coverage of Hurricane Ike. Away from work, he enjoys spending time with his family. Asides from this, he enjoys making it a goal to see his favorite sports team, in person every year and still screams at the TV when they are playing, and the Dallas Cowboys.
