Nick Jansen Biography

Nick Jansen is the Chief Meteorologist at KTTC since joining the KTTC Weather Authority in June 2019. Jansen attended Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL (home of the Huskies) where he graduated in May of 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology, along with a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) certificate.

His entire professional career, Jansen has been a member of Quincy Media. Originally, he started out at WREX-TV, the NBC affiliate in Rockford, IL as the Weekend Meteorologist. Then later moved to WEEK-TV, the NBC affiliate in Peoria, IL as the Morning Meteorologist. When he is not working, you can catch Jansen on the basketball courts around the area. He as well loves meeting new people and talking about literally anything, especially sports, and the weather!
