Nicole Nalepa Biography
Nicole Nalepa is an American News Anchor who works for WFSB where she co-anchors Connecticut’s #1 morning newscast, “Eyewitness News This Morning.” She has been working at WFSB station since joining in December 2013; and since then, life has never been the same.
Napela attended Westfield State University and graduated with a Communication degree. Napela was selected for a post-grad internship at CBS News in New York on the “Evening News with Katie Couric.”

Prior to joining Connecticut, She spent several years anchoring and reporting in the mornings at WWLP in Springfield, MA. Nalepa was one of the first “live on-scene” reporters from western Massachusetts, during the manhunt for the Boston Marathon bombing suspect; CNN aired several of her live reports and her coverage contributed to an Emmy-winning newscast.
After Hurricane Sandy paralyzed parts of the Northeast, She accompanied local pilots who were delivering aid to one of the hardest-hit areas in New Jersey and documented her journey. Napela as well covered the deadly tornado that ripped through western Massachusetts in 2011 and was part of the news team that won two Emmys and an AP Award for the coverage.
When she’s not on air, Nicole keeps very busy in the community. She currently serves as a board member for the “Community Music School”, records a weekly show for CRIS Radio, and dedicates much of her free time to visiting local schools, reading to students, emceeing numerous events, and raising money for charity. Perhaps her greatest achievement yet has been becoming a mother. She and her husband welcomed their first child in May 2019.
