Nicole Nielsen is an American Anchor, Reporter, and Multimedia Journalist working for CBS 11 in Fort Worth, Texas as a fill-in anchor, reporter, MSJ, and digital Journalist. She joined the station in March 2020 after working for KWTV News 9.
Nicole Nielsen Education
Nielsen studied at the University of Oklahoma, a public research university based in Norman, Oklahoma. In the year 2020, she completed her studies and was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism apart from which she also minored in International Studies. Nielsen had the responsibility of being an ambassador of the Journalism School by being the channel of communication between students and lecturers.
Furthermore, she was employed to produce the daily newscast for the university. She has received quite many awards from reputable organizations including the Broadcast Education Association and the National Broadcasting Society. In the year 2019, she joined an international program at the OU campus in Arezzo, Italy, which concentrated on the area of International and Global Studies.

Nielsen joined CBS 11 in June 2020 and is enthralled to be a journalist in North Texas. She joined the station as a news reporter for North Texas native. Currently, she works as a reporter, multi-skilled journalist, fill-in-anchor, and traffic anchor at CBS 11. Lately, she has taken to handling stories in Grapevine, Grand Prairie, and Irving with the station’s franchise ‘On Your Corner, In Your Corner’.
Before moving to Fort Worth, Texas, Nielsen worked for KWTV News 9 in Oklahoma City, as a News Apprenticeship. Apart from local news, Nielsen has been able to report for CBS Mornings, CBS Overnight News, and CBS-owned and operated stations across the nation. In 2023, she participated in the CMT Music Awards which shifted location to Austin and she also got to interact with stars like Keith Urban, Darius Rucker, Kelsea Ballerini, and Kane Brown.
In 2022, Nielsen received nominations for the Lone Star Emmy Awards in the crime news category for her outstanding work. Moreover, Nielsen has worked on important events such as the Uvalde school shooting, the COVID-19 pandemic, the Texas winter storms, and the January 6th Capitol riot. Her exclusive interview with a rioter even played a role in the impeachment trial of then-President Donald Trump.
