Owen Siebring is an American journalist who serves as the Sports Director for CBS14 and FOX44. Siebring comes to Siouxland from Mankato, MN, but has spent most of his life in Hawkeye State.
Owen Siebring Career
Siebring attended BCLUW High School and grew up in Albion, Iowa. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Electronic Media and considers Cedar Falls to be his second home. Siebring worked as a photojournalist for KCRG in Cedar Rapids, KWWL in Waterloo, and WBIR in Knoxville, TN after graduating from college. Owen, on the other hand, was constantly drawn to the sports department.
He landed his first full-time sports job at KEYC in Mankato, Minnesota, and spent 2016 in the bitter winter of Minnesota before moving to Siouxland. Owen has spent time conducting mission work overseas with Adventures in Missions, based in Gainesville, GA, in between TV employment.
Owen has served in Europe, Southeast Asia, southern Africa, and even the Middle East, where his sister and her family work full-time for a non-profit. Siebring is thrilled to be returning to his home state and is looking forward to experiencing all that Siouxland has to offer.
