Pat Hoffmann Biography
Pat Hoffmann is an American journalist who anchors WANE 15’s First News and Noon shows with Alyssa Ivanson and Greg Shoup. Hoffmann made the switch to news in January 2008, following eight years as the weekend sports anchor for WANE 15. “I miss all of the wonderful individuals I met through sports over the years, but this work provides me with a new set of opportunities to tell people’s stories in a new way.”

The native of Dearborn, Michigan, has spent his whole radio career in Indiana. Before joining the WANE 15 crew as a photographer and fill-in sports presenter, he worked at WIFF Radio and TV7 in Auburn. Pat previously worked as a sports photographer for FOX 59 in Indianapolis before returning to WANE 15 as a weekend sports anchor.
Pat has covered significant events such as the Indianapolis 500, Daytona 500, Final Four, and Pasadena’s Rose Bowl. He claims that covering Super Bowl XL in his hometown of Detroit was the highlight of his career. “Being on the field at a Super Bowl is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I’ll never forget.”
