Pei-Sze Cheng is a well-reputed Emmy Award-winning Investigative Reporter at NBC 4 New York. There, she is a member of NBC 4 New York’s investigative unit, the I-Team. She joined the station in March 2005. Her reporting there was a key component of the station’s New York award-winning COVID-19 coverage honored in January 2021 with the prestigious Alfred I. duPont- Columbia University award for creating a 360 view in real time f the coronavirus pandemic with courageous and thorough reporting on the virus’ explosion in New York City. She is an active member of the Asian American Journalists Association.

In her capacity as the general assignment reporter, she covered powerful stories such as the Sandy Hook shootings, Superstorm Sandy, the midtown steam explosion, the Sean Bell shooting, and the 2005 transit strike. Prior to joining NBC 4 New York, she worked as a reporter at WFSB TV from October 2002 to March 2005. There, she covered major stories in Connecticut as a reporter for the New Haven bureau, enterprise stories daily, and maintained contacts and sources. Cheng began her reporting career at News 12 Connecticut where she reported for the 5 pm and 10 pm newscasts.
