Rachel Garceau Biography
Rachel Garceau is an American meteorologist working for KTVB as a broadcast meteorologist since joining the station in May 2023. Previously, she served Northwest Lineman College as a communications manager.
Rachel Garceau Education
Garceau joined Northwest Nazarene University in 1996 when she finished her high school education. In 2003, she graduated with a Bachelor Of Arts degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies. In 2017, she joined Mississippi State University where she completed the Broadcast Meteorology Program and attained a Broadcast & Operational Meteorology Certificate.

Garceau works for KTVB as a broadcast meteorologist. After graduating college, she secured a job at a local television station in 2003 where she worked as an associate producer. While working off-screen, she worked her way up and eventually found her way in front of the camera serving as a fill-in weather anchor and news anchor.
After spending time on the green screen, Garceau realized her passion for wanting to know the “why” behind the weather, particularly for the challenges presented by forecasting Idaho’s four distinct seasons. Thus, she rejoined school to learn about meteorology. She enjoys knowing that she helps people plan their day and wardrobe.
Previously, she served Northwest Lineman College as a communications manager. Before that, she served Central District Health (CDH) as a public information officer. She served KIVI/KNIN as a meteorologist and anchor from June 2014 to October 2021. Prior to that, she served 12 KTRV as a TV host of 12 KTRV’s MomsEveryday for a year. She served Sit Means Sit Boise as a director of marketing and media relations for months before joining 12 KTRV. Before that, she served the Journal Broadcast Group as a news anchor.
