Rana Novini is an eminent American Emmy Award-winning reporter working for NBC 4 New York. She joined the station in April 2016. As a general assignment reporter and anchor, she covers a wide range of news topics including breaking news, politics, crime, and features. Her reporting was a key component of NBC 4 New York’s award-winning COVID-19 coverage honored in January 2021 with the Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award for creating a 360 view in real time of the coronavirus pandemic with courageous and thorough reporting on the virus’ explosion in New York City.

Rana began her career at KRDO, where she worked at KRDO-AM/FM/TV and KRDO.com. At the station, she worked in two roles. First, as a Digital Content Director/iReporter from August 2011 to January 2013. Second as a Television News Anchor/Reporter from January 2013 to January 2016. In that role, she was an Emmy-nominated reporter and 4 pm show anchor for KRDO 13. In 2014, she received the Colorado Broadcasters Association Award for Best Feature Report, and in 2015 was awarded the Silver Award for being voted the Best TV News Anchor by viewers.
