He started his journalism career working at Bay Area Christian radio station WCIE where he served as a reporter. He went to Florida Southern College in Lakeland where he attained his degree and graduated in 1984.
Elmhorst, later on, started working at “Charisma Magazine,” where he served as the producer of the weekly news magazine prior to joining Bay News 9. Whenever he is not working, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends.
