Wooley completed high school in his hometown and joined Western Michigan University in 2003. There he studied and graduated with a bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Media and Film in 2007. He was also a member of News Anchor for Eastern Weekly, and co-creator and host of ”The Eastern Sports Report”.

Wooley started off as a member of News Anchor for Eastern Weekly, and co-creator and host of ”The Eastern Sports Report”, while in college. He was also a 3-year member of the EMU Marching Band and a 4-year member of the EMU Basketball Band. Ryan was a member of the National Honorary Band Fraternity Kappa Kappa Psi. He was also a play-by-play anchor for EMU football and men’s and women’s Basketball for E-TV.

Between 1997 and 2006, he was a Sales Associate at Gags and Games in Canton, Michigan. Wooley was a Color Commentator for Eastern Michigan University Basketball at 89.1 WEMU. He was also a Weekend Sports Anchor at WWJ Newsradio 950 at CBS Radio based in Southfield MI. Between November 2010 and March 2013, he was a Play-by-play Women’s Basketball Announcer at Eagle All Access based in Ypsilanti Michigan. He also worked at CBS Radio as a Board Operator and Sports Anchor 97.1 WXYT ”The Ticket.” Wooley also produced the ”Caputo and Fithian” show and ran the Detroit Tigers, Pistons, and Red Wings Radio Networks. He was a Play Play Football Announcer at PlayON! Sports based in Howell, Michigan. He then became an Afternoon Sports Anchor for 97.1 WXYT ”The Ticket” and WWJ Newsradio 950WWJ Detroit.

2008-present

Wooley was employed at WLND TV based in Westland Michigan, as a play-by-play anchor for ”Friday Night Football” in Wayne-Westland. He later joined ESPN as a Play-by-play Anchor for Eastern Michigan University Basketball on ESPN+ and ESPN3. There, he was the lead anchor for men’s and women’s basketball for Eastern Michigan University. He was also responsible for chart creation notes, and delivering the play-by-play for 30 games a season, Since June 2008, he owned Mammoth Entertainment, LLC, based in New Hudson, Michigan, and served as a Professional DJ. He was also the Master of Ceremonies for all events including weddings, birthdays, corporate events, and many others.

He then joined 93.5 WHMI, based in Howell, Michigan as a Freelancing Sports Anchor. Wooley later joined NEWSnet in Farmington Hills, Michigan as a Midday Sports Anchor. He anchors four, five-minute sportscasts that air from 9 am-7 pm Monday to Friday on a loop. He is also responsible for scripts, cutting highlights, building graphics, sourcing material, and producing shows. Wooley also anchors a sports show for Sports News Highlights from 2 p.m. until 1 a.m. throughout the week.
