Scott Brazda Biography
Scott Brazda is an American Anchor, Host, and Philanthropist working for KADN News serving as a co-anchor of Good Day Acadiana. He joined the station in July 2023, after previously working as a weekday news anchor for KATC-TV in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Scott Brazda Education
Brazda attended Teurlings Catholic High School where he graduated from before later attending the Louisiana University in 1978 where he attained a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing in 1982. While there, he was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity, and from 1989 to 1990, he furthered his studies at Texas University. In addition, Scott is also a member of the Communications Department at Louisiana University since 2000 where he serves as an adjunct faculty.

Brazda serves as a host and co-anchor of Good Day Acadiana at KADN/KLAF in Lafayette, Louisiana. He joined the station in July 2023 where he hosts a show called Heart of Acadiana which showcases inspiring stories of people. Besides working as a host, Scott is also a freelance writer and a contributor to UL sporting events on ESPN-Plus.
Before joining KADN News, Scott served as a weekday news anchor for KATC-TV in Lafayette, Louisiana. He worked for the station for three decades where he hosted the station’s popular show titled ‘Spirit of Acadiana’.Brazda joined the station in 1990 working as a sports director and anchor from 1990 to 2006 before later securing a position as a weekday news anchor. During his time at KATC-TV, he co-founded a project called the St. Jude Acadiana Dream Home project. For his excellent work, Scott was honored with various awards including Associated Press awards for his storytelling and reporting coverage.
He began his career as a store manager at B. Dalton Bookseller in El Paso, Texas. As a newcomer, Brazda worked as a senior sales clerk before later being promoted to Store Manager where he worked from August 1983 to January 1990. Previously, he spent 14 years working for The Stuller Family Foundation where he served as executive director. While there, he helped improve the organization and connected the dots with prospective funders.
Apart from being a journalist, Scoot is also the owner of the Junior Philanthropy Foundation, an organization that helps young people. The organization helps young people by nurturing their sense of community and working together with multiple Acadiana schools.
