Halligan attended James B. Conant High School and graduated magma cum laude in Broadcast Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Apart from reporting, She besides enjoyed podcasting, researching genealogy and spending time with her husband and dog.
