Steve Infanti Biography
Steve Infanti is an American journalist working for WSYR as the sports director since 2003. He joined the station in January 1999 as the weekend sports anchor and has served the station for more than 2 decades. Previously, he worked in Binghamton at WIVT as a sports reporter and anchor.

Infanti joined Ithaca’s Park School of Communications in 1994 when he finished his high school education. In 1998, he graduated with a Bachelor Of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Infanti has worked for WSYR as the sports director since 2003. In this role, he spearheads the broadcast of Syracuse University Athletics, Friday Night Fever, and everything in between. Moreover, he works as the host of Orange Nation providing an in-depth insight at the events with the Orange week in and week out during the SU football and basketball seasons.
In September 2020, Infanti started co-hosting “Bridge Street” airing on weekday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m. Upon joining the station, he first worked as a weekend sports anchor. A previous NewsChannel 9 Athlete of the Week, he helped spearhead Bishop Ludden to a state basketball championship in 1994.
Aside from his work at WSYR, he radio hosts multiple programs for the local ESPN radio affiliate. Previously, he worked in Binghamton at WIVT as a sports reporter and anchor. He is a member of the board of It’s About Childhood and Family, Inc. in Central New York.
Infanti previously worked on the board of directors of the Syracuse Sports Corporation and the Toomey Residential and Community Services. He was a moderator for the Onondaga County Eckerd Drug Quiz Show. Moreover, he has participated in the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Children’s Miracle Network Telethons.
