Susan Hirasuna is an American Anchor/Reporter working for FOX 11 Los Angeles/KKTV in California where she serves the station as a Weekend News Anchor and Reporter. She has been working with the stations since December 1995.
Susan Hirasuna Education
Hirasuna attended UC Santa Barbara where she was studying Communication and Media Studies. There, she studied between 1977 and 1980. She then went on to join the University of Southern California where she studied between 1981 and 1984. There, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism.

Hirasuna works for FOX 11 Los Angeles where she serves the station as a Weekend Anchor and Reporter. Hirasuna has been working with the FOX 11 Los Angele team for more than two decades. Her work has been recognized by the Los Angeles Emmy Awards, the New England Emmy Awards, and the Golden Mikes.
The year 2012 saw her travel to Japan in order to report on recovery and rebuilding efforts, a year after the great quake and tsunami. Being an anchor, she has handled extended coverage of the Route 91 shooting in Las Vegas, too many wildfires and police pursuits, and the death of Princess Diana. Hirasuna is a longtime member of the Asian American Journalists Association and has served on the LA board for years. She is also an active member of the chapter as an advisory board member.
Prior to joining the FOX11 Los Angeles team, she worked with WLVI-TV Sunbeam Television where she worked between 1992 and 1995. There, she was serving the station as an Anchor and Reporter. She also worked with KCRA-TV between 1988 and 1992. While there, she was still serving the station as an Anchor/Reporter.
