Sacharczyk works for WJAR-TV – NBC 10 in Providence Rhode Island, where she served as the weekend morning anchor and award-winning special projects reporter with a background in investigative journalism for NBC 10 News. While at the station she works as a special projects reporter for NBC 10 Sunrise. Prior to joining WJAR-TV – NBC 10 she worked for 22 News in Springfield, Massachusetts where she served as a weekday morning anchor and lead investigative reporter.
While at the station she covered several high-profile events in Springfield, including the presidential inauguration and the 2017 Super Bowl in Houston. Moreover, Tamara has won numerous accolades for her investigative reporting. That included the Massachusetts Broadcaster Association’s “Investigative Award” for revealing student constraints in local schools. She also received a “Feature Story” for her research into human trafficking.
Additionally, Tamara received “Feature Story” for her investigation into human trafficking, as well as “Sport’s Feature Story” for her live coverage from Houston during the Patriots’ Super Bowl victory. In 2018, Sacharczyk’s anchoring and investigative reporting earned her an Edward R. Murrow Award for “Overall Excellence”. Moreover, she was named “Young Careerist of the Year” while she was in Springfield by Western Massachusetts Women Magazine.
In addition to that, she attended Emerson College in Boston, where she received a magna cum laude degree.
