Tara Blume Biography
Tara Blume is a Canadian American Emmy Award-Winning journalist working for KFOR as the anchor of the Saturday morning newscasts. She joined the network back in the spring of 1991.

Blume is an anchor for KFOR anchoring the Saturday morning newscasts. Prior to joining News 4, Blume worked as a news reporter at KFSM-TV in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and KATV in Little Rock, Arkansas. Blume attended Oral Roberts University and managed to attain her degree in communications and a minor in film. She admits that the best part of the job is writing the news and being able to share her stories with the whole country. She fully decided on her career path when she was an intern, and got to see “behind the scenes” at murder trials, crime scenes, and when she went to the Tina Turner concert.
Blume says that the hardest part of her career as a journalist is asking the grieving families members for an interview or if they could talk to the media. Her all-time touching story was about t a young boy in OKC who was dying with a brain tumor. She and her team traveled with the boy to his home, in Mexico to see his family. Unfortunately, the boy died and was buried by his grandfather. It was the boy’s last death that he goes to Mexico and see his family for the last time.
Blume has achieved a lot of things throughout her career but as always, she has a favorite achievement which is interviewing Billy Graham and was able to do a special report regarding his visit. She has also managed to win an Emmy Award and four nominations due to her skilled and unique way of broadcasting.
