Before being associated with WEWS-TV, DiTirro was employed at WXMI-TV FOX 17 where she presented as a morning news anchor from September 2021 to July 2023 in Grand Rapids Michigan. In particular, from November 2013 to March 2015, DiTirro was a reporter for Ohio State University Lantern Media Group. Tessa mostly worked as an anchor for a Buckeye TV-Lantern Media Group weekly newscast. She shot, wrote, and edited stories and interviewed people both on set and location.
She also did her internship at ABC 6 WSYX-TV in Columbus, Ohio from May 2014 to August 2014. Her duties as an intern were to help with reporting packs, field interviews, and some stories and sources research. She also worked and interned at WOIO-TV in Cleveland, Ohio with her stay being from May 2013 to August 2013.
