Ta graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Literary Journalism which she attained from the University of California in Irvine in 2015. She then made her exit from the television station in December 2019. While at WDVN-TV, she mainly reported on a variety of topics such as societal occurrences, and education. Also, she focused on local news.
From July 2015 to September 2016, Ta worked as a reporter for Torrance CitiCABLE 3 in Torrance, CA. There, she interviewed various guests, and composed, and edited report packages for the Torrance city weekly show known as “This Week in Torrance”. She later transitioned to being a news production assistant for two years and three months at KABC-TV in Glendale, California. Before this, she had worked as an intern at KABC-TV, where she helped reporters, task editors, and producers in producing the morning show using AP ENPS. She also assisted in conducting interviews with photographers and teamed up with reporters on stories that needed talking and reading in Vietnamese.
Furthermore, she served as a TV host for SaigonTV in Westminster, CA, from May 2014 to November 2015. She was the host and the interviewee in a weekly show for a Vietnamese TV network. Additionally, she reported for Garden Grove TV3 in Garden Grove, CA for eight months before making her exit in June 2015. Moreover, Ta has performed other roles throughout her career as a journalist such as being an Editorial Intern at OC Weekly in Costa Mesa, CA, a Master Control Operator for KDOC-TV in Santa Ana, CA, and an Editorial Intern at COAST Magazine also in Santa Ana, CA.
