Todd Gutner Biography
Todd Gutner is an American meteorologist working for NEWS CENTER Maine as the chief meteorologist. He re-joined WCSH in October 2014, after previously working at KGO-TV as a meteorologist.
He attended the State University of New York at Oneonta where he graduated with a degree in meteorology. Over the years, he has received a number of Emmy nominations and was awarded the AMS Seal of Approval. He started his broadcast meteorology career at NEWS CENTER Maine in 2000 while serving as a weekend meteorologist. He served as the weekend meteorologist at the station till 2007 when he relocated to Boston and worked at WBZ.
Gutner held a number of positions at WBZ from 2007 to August 2014, and those positions included evening and morning duties on weekdays. He also had a weekly gardening segment known as “Gardening With Gutner and on the segment, he demonstrated a number of home gardening techniques together with a local gardening expert.
He was also actively involved in the community by visiting hundreds of elementary schools. Furthermore, he returned to NEWS CENTER Maine in October 2014. During his spare time, he enjoys settling in the greater Portland area with his twins, hiking, hanging at the beach, playing sports, and exploring the seemingly endless gastronomic choices that Maine has to offer.
