Tom Abrahams is the Weekend Evening Anchor/Reporter for KTRK-TV. He has traveled the world for Eyewitness News since arriving from Orlando in 1999. He graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville 

From Chornobyl and the Panama Canal to The Amazon Jungle and the Black Sea, Abrahams has shown Eyewitness News viewers how faraway places affect our lives here in Southeast Texas. He also covers national politics and stories that relate to energy, the environment, and the economy.

Since 2006, Abrahams has produced five half-hour special reports on subjects including the new space race, the 2008 presidential election, and the future of energy production. He has won three regional Edward R. Murrow Awards.
