When he is not broadcasting the local sports scene, Scott works at his local ad firm in Downtown Boise. Ever since he was young, he has always loved sports announcing. While growing up, Jeff Carter(the San Francisco Giants’ public address announcer) always fascinated him since he had the honor of saying Willie Mays’ name whenever he came to bat.

At the age of 13, Scott started doing PA for an 8th-grade basketball tournament. He started becoming involved with sports in the Treasure Valley in 1971 when he provided morning sports reports on KFXD Radio. Later, local sports fans knew him due to his work as a public address announcer at Boise State football games from 1974 to 1984 and basketball games from 1973 to 1979.

In 1978, Scott became a TV sportscaster where he served as a host of Boise State’s weekly coach’s program and play-by-play roles for live coverage during the Broncos’ national championship season in 1980. He left his stadium announcing roles when he joined KBOI on its Bronco radio team for the 1985 and 1986 seasons.

A bona fide BSU football historian, he researched and wrote the first complete Bronco football record book in 1983. He is active in the community and involves himself in a variety of community activities. He previously served the Boise Advertising Federation as a president. Moreover, he has received awards from the Idaho Press Club, Idaho Press-Tribune, Idaho Advertising Federation, Idaho State Broadcasters Association, and American Advertising Federation.
