Tom Sherry Biography
Tom Sherry is an American Meteorologist who is best known for his time at KREM 2 News where he was serving the station as a Chief Meteorologist and 4 PM News Anchor. He joined the station in January of the year 1990 and retired on Friday, March 4th, 2022.

He holds the National Weather Association Seal of Approval and is a member of the American Meteorological Society. He graduated from Mississippi State University’s Broadcast Meteorological program.

Sherry was working with KREM 2 News where he was serving the station prior to his retirement on the 4th of March 2022. He says a big thanks to the city he loves after more than 30 years of service. Additionally, he also says a big thanks to the citizens for keeping him employed for 33 years.
He kick-started his career at KREM 2 News on weekends earning $7 per hour and was overpaid. Tom appreciates people for letting him grow and later on, once he was confident, letting him do things that were not done on local markets television.
He says he thinks some people at home thought whether they really needed the kind of shenanigans he gave. However, he goes ahead to state that he understands the viewer and that he is that kind of guy. He also says that he was not only going to be their cup of tea but was also hoping there were enough people out there that he was their cup of tea. He goes ahead to state that he is happy he was some people’s cup of tea.
Sherry goes ahead to state that he loved his moments working with KREM and would let him try the things because the good stuff happens when it gets a little scary. He says that he can make really great stuff or be stupid and they would let him walk in that line.
In a review, he had about twenty years ago, he said that he is close to the edge and wasn’t going to be good. Asides from that, he said he wanted to be judged on that. However, he went ahead to say that he fails and worsens, he didn’t want to be fired.
The station, later on, went to respond that they wouldn’t fire him as long as he got more hits than misses. Tom said he could live with that because he would get more hits than misses. He also describes Spokane to be one of the most fabulous towns.
He says that it’s just the best people and it means everything to him that people liked what he did on air. Sherry goes ahead to describe and liken himself to the golden retriever, Doppler: saying he likes people. Additionally, he also says people like him and that makes him feel good.
Additionally, he says her thought it was a real honor that people would invite him into their home. For him, that was something he has never taken for granted. He always wanted to be a good guest and was lucky to work with great anchors that let him shine for a little while.
He says that he loved the fact that when people would see him out and about they felt comfortable enough to approach him and say hi. This made his day and always thought it was a great way to make a connection and make a new friend. Additionally, he thought it was so neat that they wanted to come up and say hello.
Sherry is also very thankful for his career in Spokane and words can’t express it. He also wanted to be a broadcaster since the ninth grade and could not have ended up in a better place, with better time, and with better viewers.
