Toni Yates is an American anchor and reporter working at WABC-TV where she served as the New Jersey reporter. She joined the station in December 2005.
Jacksonville, Florida is her native home and she attended Bishop Kenny High School where she graduated proudly and later joined Florida State University where she earned a major in Communications. She began her career at WTOC in Savannah, Georgia where she served as a reporter and later joined WSAV as a weekend co-anchor. In addition, she has also worked at WTLV as a reporter and at WJXT as a reporter and weekend co-anchor. While Toni was in Norfolk Virginia, she served as a communications director for the March Of Dimes and as a morning news anchor.
Furthermore, she worked at WGAL in Lancaster, Pennsylvania where she served as a general assignment reporter. Prior to joining the WABC team, she worked at WB 17 in Philadelphia for a number of years and while she was there, she has promoted from weekend anchor-medical reporter to weekday anchor. In addition, she resides in New Jersey and is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
