Treasure Roberts Biography
Treasure Roberts is an American journalist who serves as a reporter and multimedia journalist at the Graham Media Group-owned CBS affiliate WKMG (News 6) in Orlando, Florida, United States.
Roberts has gained great experience through working for outlets in different positions including NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, Cape Town Television, WLNS Channel 6, HOMTV, and The State News. Treasure also serves as a community leader.
Treasure Roberts Education
Roberts attended Michigan State University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree, Journalism, and Media & Information. She has served as president of the Michigan State University chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists. Treasure was also president of the Epsilon Epsilon chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Roberts is also a former student tutor in the MSU Trio program and a former historian of the National Pan-Hellenic Council.

During her time in school, she interned at various places. She was a radio talk show host for 1440 WDRJ in Detroit from Oct 2013 – Aug 2014. There, she wrote radio show scripts, conducted interviews, recorded advertisements and jingles, and also co-hosted a live radio show broadcast to the greater Detroit area weekly.
Treasure was a reporter intern at The State News in East Lansing from August 2015 to December 2015. She later interned as a reporter at HOMTV in Okemos, Michigan from December 2015 to May 2016. There, she created news packages to air on a variety of news productions. She also conducted over-the-phone and on-camera interviews daily and wrote news articles for publishing online.
Treasure was a reporting intern at WLNS-TV in Lansing, Michigan Area from January to May 2017. She also served as a production intern at NBC News in Greater New York City Area from May to August 2017. She was a news intern for Cape Town TV in Cape Town Area, South Africa from May to August 2018. Roberts served as a digital content intern for WSYM FOX 47 in Lansing, Michigan Area from August to December 2018.
Treasure was hired by WMBD-TV Channel 31 in Peoria, Illinois Area as a photographer and multimedia journalist in January 2019. She received a promotion three months later and moved to the role of a nightside reporter. She also served as a fill-in anchor and producer. During her time there, she co-launched Channel 31’s first investigative team. In January 2021, Treasure joined the WKMG News 6 team as a breaking news multimedia journalist.
