Vaylen Kirtley is a South African anchor/reporter who was best known for her time at SABC News joining the network in May 2011. She served as the network’s sports anchor reading and compiling the network’s news events.

Kirtley joined the network in May 2011 where she began by compiling and reading news events during weekend mornings. Additionally, she also reported live on YFM and the network’s shows. Kirtley also featured several highlights and sports events that included her broadcasts on a range of alternatives and disability sports in 2005.
Her coverages included the 2007 All Africa Games, the Two Oceans, and the Argus, the Paralympic Games, and the Beijing Olympics, the 2005 X Games in Los Angeles. Later in 2010, she also anchored locally on the FIFA World Cup and the Commonwealth Games. Being a sports fandom, Kirtley has both competed and covered twice in the Comrades Marathon.
