Wendy Halloran is an American Emmy Award-winning reporter working for KUTV 2News serving as a chief investigative reporter. She joined the station in October 2020, after working as an investigative reporter at WSB-TV.

After high school, Wendy attended San Diego State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration. Later on, she went on to join the University of Nevada-Reno where she obtained a degree in Broadcast journalism. In 2017, Halloran enrolled at Loyola Law School, Los Angeles where she graduated with a degree in Journalism Law School fellowship.

During her career at KUTV, Wendy has covered multiple news mainly focusing on injustice cases such as police misconduct, crime and punishment, and prison issues.
In 2015, Halloran uncovered the Phoenix Fire Department arson squad which accused and detained innocent people. For her coverage, she was honored with the Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Award. In addition to this, she also holds other awards including the 2015 regional Edward R. Murrow Award, National Headliner Award, and National Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) Finalist award. Prior to working at KUTV, Wendy worked at WSB-TV as an investigative reporter from October 2017 to October 2018.
Halloran previously spent seven years working for KPNX-12 News, an NBC affiliate in Phoenix, Arizona. While there, she served as a chief investigative reporter from July 2010 to August 2017. Before working at KPNX-12 News, Wendy served as a chief investigative reporter at WHNT News 19 in Huntsville, Alabama. Halloran began her broadcasting career at KTNV Channel 13 News, the ABC affiliate in Las Vegas, Nevada. During her time there, she served as an investigative reporter and consumer from July 2004 to December 2007.
Throughout her career, Wendy has appeared on various channels such as USA Today, ABC’s Nightline, MSNBC.com, Al-Jazeera America, and The Guardian. Moreover, her coverage has led to changes in policy in the department such as felony convictions and prison sentences, legislation, and grand jury indictments. On top of this, Halloran also reported the investigative series titled “Watching Tony Die” and assisted Debra Milke to free from Arizona’s death row.
