Wes Wyatt Biography
Wes Wyatt is an American Meteorologist working with WRBC FOX6 News where he has served the station as a Chief Meteorologist since the year 2010. Prior to WBRC, he worked with WVUA-TV where he served the station as a Chief Meteorologist for about seven years.

Wyatt works with WRBC FOX6 News where he has served the station as a Chief Meteorologist since the year 2010. There, he anchors the Weekend Evening Meteorologist and serves the station as a Severe Weather Analyst. The Tuscaloosa native is not a stranger to Alabama’s changing weather.
Asides from that, he also served as an adjunct instructor of Broadcast Meteorology at the University of Alabama. Previously, he also worked with WTOK-TV located in Meridian, MS, where he was still serving the station as a Chief Meteorologist. Having over two decades of experience, he has covered some of the most significant severe weather events in Alabama’s history.
He states that sharing the weather is his passion and one of the things he enjoys doing the most. In his career, he has visited schools and spoken to various organizations throughout the state. He has also helped mentor many successful meteorologists in the weather business today. Asides from that, he recalls events like the Blizzard of 19993 and says such experiences while growing up in Alabama is the reason he is a meteorologist today.
Wyatt is a proud recipient of the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal by the American Meteorological Society and the Seal of Approval by the National Weather Association. He has also been an active member of both organizations. Being a member of the National Weather Association Seal Committee, he participates in evaluating meteorologists throughout the nation.
Among his proudest achievements is an honorary resolution from the State of Alabama for his severe weather coverage in West Alabama. Asides from that, he was also named the best weather anchor by the Associated Press in 2003, 2005, 2008, 2009, and 2015.
Away from work he enjoys playing the guitar and plays the guitar on his Facebook account in his free time. He states that his love for music comes from his mother Lynn Wyatt, who is a talented musician and singer. Asides from that, he enjoys the great outdoors, gardening, and football Saturdays in the fall. Among his biggest announcement is the arrival of a new family member soon. Together with his wife, they are preparing for the arrival of a baby boy.
