Petersen is a Colorado native who grew up in Littleton, attended high school at Kent Denver, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri in 2012. Petersen joined the 9 NEWS team in July 2019 and he is working as a sports producer.
