She had also worked for other networks prior to joining CNN. For instance, she previously worked at KMGH-TV 7 News, the ABC affiliate in Denver where she served as the morning anchor. During her time here, she was awarded an Emmy Award for her exquisite anchoring and covering of the High Park Fire in 2012. She alongside the 7 News morning team was recognized with the Associated Press TV and Radio Association’s Annual Mark Twain Award in 2013.
Prior to her tenure at 7News, she previously worked at FOX affiliate KAYU-TV in Spokane, Washington, and NBC affiliate KHQ-TV where she served as a reporter and anchor from 2005 to 2009. She started her journalism career at Denver’s CBS affiliates KCNC-TV and KMGH-TV where she interned. She went to the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University where she graduated.
